Investing in independent film — including sci-fi classics, cyberpunk, space opera, hard sci-fi, alien horror and dystopia — involves substantial risk, including the total loss of your investment. • Loss of principal. Most independent films do not recoup their budget. You may lose your entire investment.
• Illiquidity. Fractional film equity is not publicly traded. There is no resale market.
• Long horizons. Distribution, collections, and statements typically span 3–7 years.
• Genre concentration. Planet Sci-Fi invests only in science fiction cinema — cyberpunk, space opera, hard sci-fi, alien horror and dystopia. Genre cycles, censorship, and platform policies can compound losses.
• Production risk. Films may be delayed, recast, abandoned, or fail to deliver a finished cut.
• No SIPC / FDIC protection.
